Alan Papernick Endowed Duquesne University Scholarship 

Created by Alan Papernick, B'62, and Judy Papernick, this scholarship benefits students enrolled in the School of Law and is based on need and merit requirements.

Other programs funded

Alan Papernick has served on many charitable Boards and established many funds to help to certain medical issues, legal scholarships as well under helping children attend summer camp. They include the following:

  • Established a fund through the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh to help provide a summer camp experience for children of need many of which are disabled.

  • Established a fund with the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation to provide research and support for patients stricken with acquired bone marrow failure diseases, aplastic anemia, PNH, and myelodysplastic syndromes.

  • Established and funded an annual Continuing Legal Education Seminar for attorneys in Western Pennsylvania.

  • Funded a program entitled "One Happy Camper" through the Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh to help 50 students attend summer camp each year.

  • Provided funds to MDAnderson to help in their efforts to find a cure for cancer.
